This article shows how to delete a repeating data instance. It is only possible to delete a repeating data instance when your study has not yet been set to live.

How to delete a repeating data instance

In the participant overview, go to the repeating data tab and click on the cog wheel next to the repeating data instance to be deleted:

Choose 'Delete repeating data' from the list of options. A dialog window will appear asking you to provide a reason for the deletion and press yes to confirm and delete the repeating data.

When your study is live, or has been set to live once before, it is no longer possible to delete repeating data instances. Instead, you can archive the repeating data instance by clicking on 'Archive repeating data'. When a repeating data instance is archived, it is not shown in your data overview and is not exported. Archived repeating data instances can be viewed by selecting 'Archived' in the 'Filter by status' menu 

Unarchive repeating data instances

If you would like to restore an archived repeating data instance, you can choose the option 'Unarchive repeating data' in the same menu you open with the cogwheel. The repeating data will be restored to the study, can be viewed in the repeating data tab of the associated participant id and will also be exported with other data.
