Can I delete information from the Castor EDC/CDMS system?
After your study goes live, you cannot permanently delete data from the system.
Participants, repeating data instances, and survey package invitation instances may be archived so that they do not appear in the overview. However, data remains available to be retrieved at all times in line with GCP guidelines.
Soft deletion of data from an eCRF is permitted, as the data is maintained and recoverable for audit trail purposes. This can be achieved using the cogwheel to the right of the value, and selecting the option ‘clear’. Please note that it is not possible to clear the data by importing empty values.
