Updating Castor Connect App
Learn how to make sure your Castor Connect App is up to date with the latest features and defect fixes.
From time to time we may update the app to improve the experience through new features and improvements. Many devices will automatically download and install any updates, but some don’t so we’ve provided instructions to allow you to check:
Castor Connect is compatible with the following software versions:
- Android 8 (and all later updated versions)
- iOS 11 (and all later updated versions)
For Android users :
1.From the Play Store Home screen, tap the Menu icon (upper-left)
2.Tap Settings Settings icon
3. Tap Auto-update apps then the below options will be displayed, including whichever option you currently have in place on your device:
- Do not auto-update apps; Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply OR Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only
- We recommend enabling auto-updates, either via Wi-Fi or a combination of Wi-Fi and mobile data to ensure you will always be using the latest version of the app
4. If you don’t feel like enabling auto-updates:
- From the Play Store Home screen, tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left)
- Tap My apps & games
- Tap individual installed apps to update or tap Update All to download all available updates
- If presented, review App Permissions then tap Accept to proceed with app update
For Apple users:
1. Go to Settings on your device
2.Tap App Store
3. Here we recommend you turn on App Updates
4. If you don’t feel like enabling auto-updates:
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to only update that app, or tap Update All.
